It can be a long process to fully redesign an app or a website focused on providing a good user experience, especially in the startup world where everything is fast paced and maximum productivity is needed with minimum wasted time and expenses.

One must fully take the full Design Thinking cycle into account, from empathizing the users to testing the product. Getting all the friction points is extremely important especially if you want a smooth user experience.

I’ve had startup founders / small businesses owners come to me before with fully equipped development teams and can revamp products in less than a week given that the wireframes / prototypes are ready. There are cases when a website or an app is need of a quick revamp because bad design affects their sales activities.

Here’s how you can efficiently prototype a new User Interface for your apps and software. (Again, I don’t intend to skip other phases it definitely takes time but all I have here are some band-aid solutions)

Case: We need to redesign a Website / Landing Page. It’s getting great traffic but less conversion. There is something wrong with the user journey from when the user visits the landing page to the actual conversion.

  1. Do a quick Heuristic Evaluation on your site
